Changelog

PackLab v1.6.2

What's new at PackLab. We announce anything that affects your account or requires downtime here and in the site banner before it happens.

fixed
  • On each set page, a box’s headliner value bands now read in Sparks (like ✦2,000–6,000) so they line up with the example cards and the pack price. They used to show a dollar range, which looked out of step even though the amounts were identical (1 Spark = 1¢).
improved
  • Real pack odds, better pack prices. Every pack now rips at the same real, community-verified pull rates as the physical set — published on the odds page before you buy, and provably fair. Most sets are priced below their live sealed-pack market price, now shown right on each set page and the odds page so you can see the difference at a glance. The guaranteed headliner in every recipe box stays.
new
  • Browse packs by era. New landing pages group every set by era — vintage, mid-era, modern, and the latest releases — each showing that era's sets with live prices plus its most valuable cards. Jump in from the era headings on the odds page.
new
  • Two new ways to explore before you rip. A live “most valuable Pokémon cards” list, ranked by current market value — tap any card to see its value, its set, and the odds of pulling it. And an honest “best rip-and-ship sites” rundown that compares PackLab with the alternatives and says plainly where each one wins. Both are linked from the footer.
improved
  • More cards make it to your door. When you ship a card home from an older set and we can't find it in Near Mint, we now send the best available copy — sometimes lightly, moderately, or heavily played — instead of cancelling the shipment. You're only refunded (100% of live value in Sparks plus your fee back) if the card can't be sourced in any condition. Full details are in the Terms and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
new
  • New members: your first deposit can go further. If you haven't deposited yet, you may be offered a one-time bonus that matches your first deposit in bonus Sparks — up to 5,000 Sparks ($50) on a first deposit of $10 or more. It's limited to one per person and doesn't affect your standard first-deposit free pack. Full terms in the Terms of Service.
improved
  • Tidied up the top of the packs page. Once you've made your first deposit you land right on the boxes, with the promo banners out of the way; if you're new, the welcome and the first-deposit free-pack offer now sit together in one clean card instead of stacking up.
new
  • The leaderboard is back, with live rankings for the month, all time, and this week's biggest pulls.
  • Added a quick 'people online' indicator so you can see the community is active while you rip.
new
  • A new welcome experience for visitors arriving from our ads: a focused walkthrough that takes you from your first look at PackLab through creating an account, your first deposit, and opening your free pack, without losing your place. The regular homepage is unchanged.
improved
  • Refreshed the homepage: a clearer intro, live boxes with prices and chase cards right up top, a plain-English rundown of what happens after you pull, and quick paths to rip packs, buy singles, or see how fairness works.
improved
  • Streamlined the top navigation.
improved
  • A full polish pass across the shop: the launch offer reads the same everywhere, sell-back is explained more clearly (85% instantly, up to 88% at the top VIP tier), and card rarity labels in the market no longer get cut off.
  • Sharing a set now shows a proper preview card with its pack art and price, and every page has its own title.
  • The recent-pulls ticker shows how fresh each pull is, and pages load with smooth placeholders instead of bare loading text.
new
  • Grand-launch offer: your first Sparks deposit of $10 or more includes a free booster pack, one per account. It rips through the same provably-fair flow as any pack: keep the cards, ship the real thing home, or sell them back for 85% of live market value.
improved
  • Refreshed the homepage for launch, and you can now explore the full shop before verifying your email. Verifying still only takes a tap, and it's what unlocks ripping, buying, and rewards.
