Is PackLab legit?

Yes — PackLab is a real, operating US-only virtual Pokémon card shop for adults 18+. Pull rates are published before you buy, every box's contents are cryptographically committed and publicly verifiable after it sells out, and any card you pull can be shipped to you as the real physical card or sold back instantly at 85% of its live market value.

The one thing to understand before you spend: you buy Sparks, closed-loop store credit priced at 100 Sparks per dollar. Sparks cannot be withdrawn, cashed out or transferred. Value leaves the shop in exactly one way — as real cards shipped to your door. That is a genuine tradeoff versus sites that pay cash, and it is also the reason this is a shop rather than a gambling product. It is stated up front, here and in the Terms, so you can decide before you pay.

Are the odds published before I buy?

Yes. Every set's per-slot pull rates, box structure and headliner odds are on its product page, and all of them are collected on the odds & expected value page. Nothing is hidden until after purchase.

Can the shop rig a box after seeing what I bought?

No, and you don't have to take our word for it. Before a box sells a single pack we publish a SHA-256 fingerprint of its complete ordered card list and of a secret seed, plus a pointer to a future round of the drand public randomness beacon. The shuffle is fixed by data that did not exist when the box was sealed. When the last pack is opened everything is published and your own browser recomputes it. If anything had been altered, the hashes would not match.

Do I actually get real cards?

Yes. Any card in your vault can be shipped to you as the real physical card, sourced Near Mint from major marketplaces such as TCGplayer and mailed with tracking within 7 days. If we cannot source it, you get 100% of its live market value back in Sparks plus your fee. Shipping costs ⚡299 per card (⚡499 for cards worth ⚡1,000+), 10% off each when you ship 3 or more together.

Is this gambling?

No. Every pack always delivers its full disclosed count of real, market-priced cards — you can never open a pack and receive nothing — and there is no cash-out, so there is no money to win. Card values move like any collectible, which is market risk, not a game of chance. The full argument is in Terms §1a. If it stops being fun, see Responsible Play.

Are the card prices marked up?

Pack prices are solved from live third-party market data (TCGplayer) so that a pack costs about the market value of the cards inside it — the shop does not make its margin on a pack markup. Marketplace singles carry a small, disclosed store markup shown before you confirm.

Who runs it?

PackLab is operated by Tyler Mailman, a sole proprietor based in Saco, Maine, USA. Support is a real person at support@packlab.gg, usually replying within 24 hours.
